Weaving Basics w/Christine Aulicino

Starting July 5, 2011–This workshop is an introduction to the basics of weaving. Using a portable 2-heddle loom (bring your own or purchase one from us), you will learn how to set up a loom with the warp and how to make a plain weave piece in mixed textures or colors. The first project will be a sampler and you will probably be able to complete two projects.

Learning to sketch is a joy in itself, however the sketching line is also an accuracy tool. Learn how to use it to design and conceptualize your work in “try out” form before you commit to larger 3-D work with more costly materials.
